Tasting Notes: The nose combines pecan nuts, candied lemon zest, notes of dried chamomile, honeydew and fruit of yellow peach. Creamy and buttery notes are donated by the oak. On the palate the wine is crispy, thanks to the fresh acidity and the slight oak tannin.
Recommended food pairings: Roasted chicken, pasta with pesto sauce, Italian mozzarella and burrata.
It was in 1725 that Irishman Thomas Barton settled in Bordeaux to start his company, which is today the city’s oldest winehouse still in activity… His grandson Hugh teamed up with Frenchman Daniel Guestier and in 1802 their partnership became official.
