The Gatto Pierfrancesco Agricultural Company was founded in the early 1900s in the province of Asti, in Piedmont, and its vineyards extend between the municipalities of Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno.....
....The area where the Gatto Pierfrancesco farm is located has been known since the Middle Ages as one of the centers of wine production in Piedmont. The hilly territory favours the development of vineyards thanks to a climate that is never too hot or cold. Thanks to these favourable conditions, the Ruchè vine, imported by Cistercian monks who came from Burgundy, has found the right places to develop.
Ruchè, Barbera, Grignolino and Monferrato Rosso are the types of wine produced by the company, which collect and fully reproduce the traditions and tastes of Piedmontese wines. Among these, the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato and the Barbera d'Asti stand out.
